Before recommending an insurance product, advisors must first ensure that they have a comprehensive understanding of their client’s financial situation. The information advisors collect will enable them to identify their client’s needs and offer relevant advice and recommendations. If the information they have gathered indicates a need for insurance, advisors can then offer their client the product that best reflects their situation.
Advisors must keep a copy of the FNA in the client’s file, along with a Reason Why Letter. It is recommended that advisors have their client sign these documents.
